About

AssetR is a self-hosted IT asset, license, and inventory manager, built for internal teams who want a straightforward system of record for what they own — without handing that data to another vendor's cloud.

Why self-hosted

Asset data is internal by nature — serial numbers, warranty details, who has what. AssetR runs on infrastructure you already control, via Docker Compose against your own Postgres database. Nothing leaves your network unless you configure it to (e.g. your own SMTP relay for email alerts). No subscription, no vendor lock-in, no account required with us.

What we're building

The goal is a tool that covers the everyday work of IT asset tracking well — assets, licenses, accessories, consumables, employee offboarding, reporting, backups — without the bloat of a full enterprise ITSM suite.
